Jim Logsdon is the current Chief Operating Officer at Parallon Revenue Cycle Point Solutions. He is responsible for overall performance and operational improvements for all revenue cycle products/solutions. Prior to this role, Jim was the Vice President of Revenue Cycle Operations for 22 years at Texas Health Resources, one of the largest non-profit healthcare systems in Texas. In this role, Jim helped lead the Texas Health revenue cycle to 3 national HFMA MAP Awards for high-performing revenue cycles, as well as numerous other national revenue cycle awards and recognition. Jim led the consolidation of 4 CBOs into one operation, he led the conversion efforts of all wholly-owned hospitals to a standard patient accounting system and he was the industry champion in efforts to create the nation's first, truly virtual CBO with over 90% of the team working from home/remotely. He also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Texas, Arlington teaching Healthcare Management/Finance in the Masters of Science in Healthcare Administration program. Jim has a Bachelor's of Business Administration from St. Norbert College, a Master's in Business Administration from Cardinal Stritch University, and a Master's of Science in Healthcare Administration from the University of Texas, Arlington. Jim is a recognized leader in revenue cycle management and is a sought-after speaker at national and local HFMA events. He has been published in numerous healthcare revenue cycle journals and newsletters. When not leading revenue cycle innovation, Jim spends his time with his family on their horse ranch in Granbury, Texas.
